Services

From loose components to orders on a truck.

A product can arrive as parts and leave as finished, labeled, tracked shipments. Use one service or all of them.

Mechanical Assembly

Sub-assemblies and finished goods built to your drawings and work instructions. Fastener torque, fit, and function checks at each station.

Kitting

Component kits, accessory packs, and subscription boxes counted, bagged, and labeled to spec, ready for the shelf or the shipping box.

Packaging and Labeling

Retail packaging, inserts, barcodes, and compliance labels applied the way your channel requires. Custom unboxing for direct-to-consumer brands.

Order Fulfillment

Pick, pack, and ship for direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders through ShipStation and the major storefronts, with tracking on every shipment.

Inventory and Inspection

Receiving inspection against the print, controlled stock with cycle counts, and build records by lot so you can trace what went into each unit.

Returns and Rework

Returned units received, evaluated, and either reworked to spec, restocked, or documented and scrapped, with a report back to you.

How It Works

Four steps from first call to shipped product.

  1. 01

    Quote

Send drawings, BOM, and volumes. You get a written quote within one business day, with per-unit pricing and lead time.

  2. 02

    Receive and inspect

Components arrive, are checked against the print, and are logged into controlled stock by lot.

  3. 03

    Build and check

Assembled to your work instructions with in-process checks. Every unit is verified against the spec before it is packed.

  4. 04

    Ship or stock

Packaged, labeled, and shipped to you, to retail, or direct to your customers. Or held as finished stock for release on demand.

Why Cache Assembly

Right-sized for brands that have outgrown the garage but are not ready for a mega-3PL.

You talk to the people doing the work

No account tiers, no handoffs. The person who quotes your job is the person who answers when you call about it.

Quality is built into the process, not bolted on

Written work instructions, in-process checks, and a final verification before packing. Build records by lot. If something is wrong, we can tell you exactly which units are affected.

Straight answers on schedule and stock

Ask where your order is or how many units are on the shelf and you get a number, not a runaround.

Small runs welcome

A few hundred units a month is a real job to us. Grow to tens of thousands and the same team scales with you.

Who We Work With

Product companies that need a build-and-ship partner.

  • Consumer products
  • Outdoor and sporting goods
  • E-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands
  • Subscription boxes and kits
  • Industrial and OEM sub-assemblies
  • Machine shops that need assembly downstream

Is Cache Assembly a Fit?

We would rather tell you up front.

A good fit if

  • Your product is designed and the components are machined, molded, or sourced
  • You need mechanical assembly, kitting, packaging, or pick-pack-ship, or all of them
  • Volumes run from a few hundred to tens of thousands of units a month
  • You want one accountable point of contact and records you can audit

Probably not a fit if

  • You need printed circuit board population or electronics manufacturing
  • Your product requires hazardous-materials handling or temperature-controlled storage
  • You are looking for design or engineering services rather than production

If we are not the right shop, we will say so and point you toward someone who is.

FAQ

Questions we get asked most.

What are your minimums?

Small runs are welcome. Tell us the quantity and the assembly and we will give you a straight answer on whether it makes sense for both of us.

How fast will I get a quote?

Most quotes go out within one business day of receiving drawings, BOM, and volumes. Complex assemblies that need a sample build may take a few days longer, and we will tell you that up front.

Who supplies the components?

Most customers ship us their machined, molded, or sourced parts. We can also receive directly from your suppliers and inspect on arrival so you never touch the inventory.

What do you do about quality?

Every job runs to a written work instruction with in-process checks, and every unit is verified against the spec before it is packed. Build records are kept by lot. If a defect is found later, we can tell you which units are affected.

Can you ship direct to my customers?

Yes. We fulfill direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders through ShipStation and the major storefronts, with tracking on every shipment. We can also hold finished stock and release it on your schedule.

Where do you ship from?

Cache Valley in northern Utah. Ground service reaches most of the western United States in one to two days and the rest of the country in three to five.
